Lamberty, Robert “Bob” (3 AUG 1937 - 16 JAN 2017)

Robert “Bob” Lamberty, a Whittlesey resident, passed away on January 16, 2016 at his home under the care of his wife, family, and Hope Hospice.

Bob was born on August 3, 1937 in Medford to Oliver and Catherine (Brandner) Lamberty. They precede him in death.

Bob was a brother to Donna (Mike) Roiger of Whittlesey, Roy (Midge) who precedes him in death, and Roman (Lois) Lamberty of Texas.

Bob went to school in Whittlesey and graduated from Medford High School in 1955. After school Bob went west with a few friends working various jobs from California to South Dakota. After a short courtship he married Mary Roiger on July 25, 1959. They lived in Milwaukee a few years until they purchased the family farm in 1966. Bob farmed, logged, and was a part time mail carrier. He became a full time mail carrier in 1989 and sold the farm to his son Luke. Bob retired in 2000.

In addition to his wife Bob is survived by his 3 children, Dawn, Rob (Joy), and Luke (Donna Grossel) ; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Barbara (Clayton) Denzine, Katie (Curt Quednow), and Dustin (Chandel) ; 7 great-grandchildren, Austin, Kameron, Sophia, Amelia, Kiana, Gavin, and Adeline all of Whittlesey. He is further survived by many other family and friends.

Bob was a member of OLPH Catholic Church in Whittlesey, President of Whittlesey Baseball Association for 52 years, active member and past president of the Rib Lake Lions, and charter member of The We Whittlesey Whizzers Snowmobile Club. Bob enjoyed bowling in Rib Lake for many years and bowling in Medford. Bob and Mary also enjoyed traveling all over the U.S., making Italian sausage, and taking care of the great-grandchildren. The great-grandkids are going to miss their Rocking Chair.

Bob was hard working, fun loving man. Never a man to shy away from a party or to sit in the corner and watch. He always had a joke or a quick comment.

A memorial mass for Bob will take place on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Whittlesey with Father Phil Juza and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating; burial will follow at OLPH Catholic Cemetery, Whittlesey.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 24 at OLPH Catholic Church in Whittlesey from 4:00 PM until the time of a prayer service at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, January 25 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
