Miller, Hazel I. (Redwine) (4 SEP 1901 - 20 DEC 1989)

Funeral services were conducted here Saturday afternoon at Hemer Funeral Home for Mrs. Hazel I. Miller, 88 year old Medford resident who died early Wednesday morning, December 20, at Wausau Hospital Center in Wausau, where she had been hospitalized the past two weeks.

Rev. Bob Linaberry-Charis, pastor of United Methodist Church at Medford, officiated and burial took place in the Perkinstown Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers included Mike Cornell, Alvin, Harvey and Lowell Clark, Art Ried, Ed Gasek, and Joseph (Doc) Slattery.

The former Hazel Redwine, daughter of the late Frederick and Sarah (Fox) Redwine, was born September 4, 1901, at Greenwood and received her education in the Clark County schools.

Her marriage to Henry N. Miller, who preceded her in death October 20, 1983, took place June 21, 1928, at Winona, Minn. After their marriage, the couple owned and operated various tavern sin the Perkinstown area for 36 years until their retirement in 1963. Mrs. Miller continued to reside at Perkinstown until 1984 when she moved to the City of Medford. She was a member of the Perkinstown Community Church.

Surviving are a son, Richard Cornell, Orlando, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Alvina Merk, Stevens Point, and a grandson, Mike Cornell, and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, assister and a granddaughter, Joyce.
