Cammers, Wilhelmina “Kidsy” (Pascal) (14 MAR 1939 - 6 FEB 2017)

Wilhelmina (Kidsy) Cammers died at 8:38 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.

She was born March 14, 1939, on the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominica. At age 13 she joined her father in St. Lucia where she lived until she moved to northern Wisconsin in January of 1969.

On Dec. 14, 1959, she married William E. (Bill) Cammers from Riplinger. He served as a missionary for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the West Indies. Three children were born to them in St. Lucia. In May 1968, Bill returned to Clark County, Wisconsin, to care for his ailing mother who died in December of that year. Kidsy and her three young boys joined him in January of 1969.

The family lived with Walt and Lucille Hohl in Greenwood for six months, for which Kidsy was very thankful, after which the Cammers family moved to Owen. Kidsy was a volunteer driver for Clark County for 30 years.

Kidsy dedicated her life to her God, Jehovah, on Jan. 25, 1953, and was an active member of the Thorp Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses until her death. She spent as much time as she could in the door-to-door ministry, sharing with as many as possible the Bible’s message of an earthly paradise.

Survivors include her three sons, Harley W., Arthur (spouse Judi Kuhl), and Elton T. Cammers; three grandchildren, Connor P. Doyle (spouse Cassandra Jens), Sage Cammers-Goodwin and Jacqueline Robbins (spouse Shaquille); great-grandchildren, Shaquille, Alena and Carter Robbins and Verne Magnolia Jens-Doyle; siblings, Edoreen Joseph, (Freda, Julien, Dorival, Beckett, Joseph-aka Nice Boy) Dodds, Meredith Wright, Olivia Graham, and Veronica Gibbons (spouse Anson); as well as many relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, Arthur H. Pascal; her mother, Tynie Dodds (Alexander); and her husband, William E. Cammers.

A special thanks goes to all the hospital staff in Marshfield that cared for her. Kidsy’s wishes were to be cremated without a memorial service.
