Gerald “Jerry” James Wojt, age 78, of Gilman, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 3, 2017 at the Cornell Health Care Center and under the care of Hope Hospice.

Jerry was born in Clark County in the Township of Withee on Aug. 13, 1938. He was the son of Anton Sr. and Rose (Lubrant) Wojt. He was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” White on March 21, 1959 in Stanley.

Jerry was known well for his mechanical talents and for his inventions that made a work day easier. Jerry, along with his wife Pat, enjoyed fixing up and selling homes after his retirement. He enjoyed working with wood and building furniture and birdhouses among other things. He loved going to auctions and often would just sit and listen to the auctioneer. He will be remembered by his children often singing the Auctioneer Song. Jerry loved listening to polka music and Johnny Cash. His biggest love was spending time with his family.
