Carol A. Guldan, 72, of Rozellville died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at her home.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

ROZELLVILLE -- Carol A. Guldan, 72, of Rozellville went to join her husband in their eternal home Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiating. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with St. John's Church Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Carol was born on Aug. 29, 1936, to Ferdinand R. and Helen M. (Mead) Thums in Marshfield. Carol was a graduate of Columbus High School.

She was united in marriage to George J. "Fuzzy" Guldan on May 25, 1957. George died on Jan. 17, 2007.

They farmed in the town of Day for more than 45 years before her son Richard and family took over the farming operations.

She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, especially on holiday and birthdays. She enjoyed each of her dogs throughout the years. Also, hearing and sharing a good story was a favorite pastime.

She is survived by her three sons and their families, Thomas (Michelle) Guldan of Stratford and their children Nicholas, Marissa and Mikayla; Richard (Sally) Guldan of Stratford and their children, Josh and Kaylee; Patrick (Gail) Guldan of Marshfield and their children Luke and Laura. She is further survived by two sisters, Donna Arndt of Marshfield and Priscilla (Richard) Schmidt of Riverdale, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Bessie Thums of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Guldan; and a brother, Robert Thums.

Memorials will be designated at a later time.
