Funeral services for Mrs. G. R. Broeske who died at her home, Monday, will be held Friday afternoon at one o’clock at the Broeske home and at two o’clock at Peace Evangelical church at Dorchester. The Rev. J. J. Hoffman will officiate and internment will be made in Memorial cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Lee Jensen, Albert Fisher, William Beil, Arthur Baehr, Ed Lietzow and Paul Hunt.

Mrs. Broeske was born Pauline Anna Flentje at Arlington Heights, Ill., March 24, 1876 and was married there May 14, 1896 to G. R. Broeske. In 1898 they moved to a farm in the Town of Mayville where they have since resided.

To them were born two sons and two daughters.

Mrs. Broeske suffered a stroke about four years ago and was in poor health the past two years. The past eight weeks she was seriously ill and death came of a heart ailment last Monday night at 11:45. She would have been 65 years old on March 24.

Mrs. Broeske is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Carlson and Mrs. Ole (Gertrude) Hanson, one son, Elroy, all of the Town of Mayville. One son, Edward, was killed in a wood sawing accident in 1934.

Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Flentje, Appleton and Ernest Flentje, of Stevens Point; and one sister, Mrs. M. G. Hamel, Arpin.

Mrs. Broeske was a member of Peace Evangelical Church, the Woman’s Union, and the O D O club.

Internment in Memorial Cemetery, Dorchester, followed the funeral services held for Mrs. G. R. Broeske, Friday afternoon. The Rev. J. J. Hoffman conducted the services at one o’clock at the Broeske home in the Town of Mayville and at two o’clock in Peace Evangelical church.

The pallbearers were William Beil, Arthur Baehr, Albert Fisher, Lee Jensen, Ed Lietzow and Paul Hunt.

Those who had charge of the floral offerings were Mmes. Chris Bremer, Laurence Carlson, Peter Hanson, Arthur Jensen, Norman Johnson and Albert Nelson.

Among relatives from away who attended were her two brothers and sister: Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Flentje of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Flentje of Stevens Point, and Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Hamel and sons, Lyle and Louis, of Arpin; two nephews, Ray Copeland of Stevens Point and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Copeland of Milan; and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. John Reiter of Des Plaines, Ill.

Mrs. Broeske, a resident of the Town of Mayville since 1898, died at her home of a heart ailment on Monday. Mrs. Broeske would have been 65 years old on March 24.
