Holmes, Peggy Jane (24 JUN 1972)

Miss Peggy Jane Holmes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Holmes, route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and Daniel Robert Hilgemann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hilgemann, route 3, Edgar, were married Saturday, June 24, 1972.

Their 2 p.m. nuptial ceremony took place at the Marshfield Armory before Larry Donnelly of the Jehovah Witnesses. The wedding was followed by a reception, supper and dance.

Mr. and Mrs. Hilgemann are residing on a farm near Stratford, where he is engaged in farming. He graduated in May of this year from Stratford High School and she from Loyal High.

Mr. Holmes gave his daughter in marriage. For the day she wore a gown of nylon organza and Venice lace, with a train and pearl crown to hold the three-tiered veil. White carnations, red roses, lily of the valley, fernery and rosebud streamers made up her bouquet.

Mrs. Gary Wolfe, Auburndale, served as matron of honor, and Mr. Wolfe served as best man. Mrs. Robert Hilgemann, Neenah, and Debbie Brandt of Marshfield were bridesmaids and attending as groomsmen were Mr. Robert Holmes, Loyal, and Mr. Robert Hilgemann, Neenah.

Each of the bridal aides carried a bouquet of white carnations with blue roses and fernery to complement her formal gown.

Mr. Laurence Holmes, Loyal, and Mr. Ervin Weaver, Pontiac, Illinois, were ushers.

Guests were present from Loyal, Greenwood, Janesville, Neenah, Appleton, Pontiac, Illinois, Stratford, and Wausau.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hilgemann of Appleton provided music for evening dancing for his brother.

The young couple is honeymooning in southern Wisconsin. After their return they will be at home on route 3, Edgar, where he has taken over his father's farm.
