Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gardner, Miss Brenda Wolter, and Mrs. Harvey Heck travelled to Indianapolis, Indiana Monday to visit their children, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Millec. Early Tuesday the Gardner's and Brenda went on to Fort Knox, Ky., where they visited Roddy and attended his graduation exercises from Basic Training. Pvt. Gardner and Pvt. Gary Roach, West Union, Ill., each received a trophy during the ceremony for the Basic Physical Fitness Test. They were the only two from Company D and E, a total of 465 men to receive perfect scores. They were also among the top 75 percent to receive medals for marksmanship. Roddy is now stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina for his A.I.T. Training.

Andrew and Kristine Keogh, Pullman, Washington, were guests at the Leonard Noeldner home during the last weekend in August. They are also visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Keogh and other friends and relatives in Green Bay, Eau Claire, Wausau, and Oshkosh.

James and Helen Brummer, Rudy Poznecht, and Paul and Michelle Noeldner spent Labor Day at the Leonard Noeldner home.

Mrs. Opal Luhman, Downing, spent last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marvin.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Marvin spent the Labor Day weekend at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Omen and family at Hammond.

Mrs. John Schmidt, Mrs. Eddie Rueth, Kay and Rose, Bob Rueth and Margaret Roder visited with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bangart at Auburndale on Sunday. There they made the acquaintance of David Charles Bangart, who is Mrs. Schmidt's 26th great-grandchild.

Pvt. Richard Paulson spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orell Paulson. He is stationed at Fort Know, Kentucky.

Weekend guests of Mrs. Werner Gempler were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dee and family, Menomonie, and Mr. Ervin Gempler, Barrington, Illinois.

Mrs. William Tucker, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. George Rowley and Mrs. Reno Herdrich, drove to Rochester on Sunday, where they visited with Mr. William Tucker.

Mr. and Mrs. James Sands, Prescott, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Ayer.
