Guenther, Rose Ann (Birkholz) (22 AUG 1950 - 8 JUL 2017)

Rose Ann Guenther, age 66, of Medford, passed away at Aspirus Care and Rehabilitation in Medford on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in the Township of Holway. The Rev. Nancy Amacher will officiate. Interment will follow at church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Rose was born on August 22, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Vanderhoof) Birkholz. She graduated from Prentice High School. Rose moved to Chicago and lived there for 30 years where she worked at different grocery stores. She moved to Brookfield for a couple of years before moving to Medford in 2003. Rose worked at Kwik Trip and retired from Abby Land.

Rose was united in marriage to Harvey Guenther on December 1, 2008 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in the Township of Holway. She loved to do jigsaw puzzles and was a fan of John Wayne.

Rose is survived by her husband, Harvey of Medford; two children: James Elder and Katie Elder, both of Fairview, IA; three grandchildren: Erik, Megan and Cylas; three siblings: Richard (Julie) Birkholz of Medford, Ramona (John) Eisner of Rib Lake and Roy (Loretta) Birkholz of Ogema; her mother-in-law, Mary Guenther of Medford and a son-in-law, Jake Janssen.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; two daughters, Rebecca and Rhonda.
