Hofmann, Martaa Marlene (Welle) (27 OCT 1967 - 8 JUL 2017)

Martaa Marlene Hofmann, age 49, of Colby, passed away July 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Clark County Rehab and Living Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Martaa was born on October 27, 1967, the daughter of Edward and Marlene (Peterson) Welle in Minneapolis, MN. She received her high school diploma from Rib Lake and her Associate degree from Rochester, MN. Martaa was a chiropractor technician in Ripon. She was united in marriage to Mark Hofmann. Together they had two children: Alyssa and Justin.

Martaa like to stay busy. She enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing, camping, and gardening. She also enjoyed volunteering at her children's school. But most of all, she cherished her children and family.

Martaa is survived by her guardian, Mark Hofmann of Spencer; her children: Alyssa (Cody) Bender of Stratford, and Justin Hofmann of Spencer; her mother, Marlene Welle; her sister, Marnie Schroeder of FL; three nieces Chantal, Karissa and Kaity and a nephew, Jayden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward and her grandparents, Arvid and Bernice Peterson.
