Kosik, Chester T. "Chet" (1 DEC 1936 – 8 JUL 2017)

Chester "Chet" T. Kosik of Hernando, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

Chester Thomas Kosik was born on December 1, 1936 at Butler, Wisconsin. He grew up in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and lived most of his adult life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon marrying Sandy Walter in 1986, he moved to Cudahy, Wisconsin, then the two retired to Leesburg, Florida.

In 2014 he married Georgia (nee Barnicott) and he moved to Hernando, Florida.

Chest is survived by his three daughters: Debbi (Rick) Peterson, Denise Kosik, and Diane Kornowski; his siblings: Edward (Cora, nee Hendrich) Kosik, and Arlene Kosik; and his sister-in-law, Barbara (Przybylski) Kosik. He also treasured his eight grandchildren: Karin, Meagan, Jordan, Kelly, Cody, Morgan, Jared and Kendra, plus one great-grandchild, Layton; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents., Stanley and Veronica (Lato) Kosik; his wife, Sandy, and his siblings, Sophie (Frank) Jaworek, and Joseph Kosik.

Chet was a gentle soul with a fun-loving spirit, and he so loved spending time with his family and friends, especially if it also involved fishing! He loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 12 p.m. at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp. Rev. James Kowalski will officiated and interment will follow in New St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
