Ziegeweid, Charles (6 NOV 1925 – 27 JUN 1973)

Charles Ziegeweid, age 47, 314 S. Union Street, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died suddenly at 8:30 p.m. June 27, 1973, while playing golf at the Shawano Golf Course. He had been stricken with a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with burial in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Norbert King officiated.

The Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

Charles Ziegeweid was born November 6, 1925 in Arcadia, Wisconsin.

He was married on November 27, 1948 at St. Mary's Church, Altoona, Wis., to the former Joyce Harris, who survives him. He was a livestock buyer all his life, having been employed by the Equity Co-op, Armour Co., and presently for the Edgar Packing Co. of Edgar. He had lived in Loyal for the past 15 years.

Mr. Ziegeweid had been an alderman of the fourth ward in Loyal, and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

The Fourth Degree members of the Knights of Columbus from Loyal and Marshfield were honorary pallbearers, and active pallbearers were Frank Degenhardt, James Helm, Dr. W.L. Lee, Dave McKenna, Mike Matanic, and Neil Oestreich.

Charles Ziegeweid is survived by his wife, one daughter, Barbara; three sons, Thomas, Michael and Patrick, all at home; his father, Wilmer, Milwaukee; four sisters, Rita Ziegeweid, St. Paul, Mary Ziegeweid, Yuba City, California, Mrs. Jim (Ethel) Jones, Torrington, Wyoming, and Mrs. Donald (Norma) Bautch, Milwaukee; eight brothers, Robert, Minneapolis, Joseph, Minneapolis, James, Weyauwega, David, Corning, Iowa, Greg, West Allis, Mark, Burlington, Wis., Bernard, Arcadia, Wis., and Lyle, Minnesota City, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
