Thorson, Abraham (13 JAN 1884 – 20 FEB 1970)

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen for Abraham Thorson, 86, of route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Friday evening at Medford Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Roger Tellock, Curtiss, officiated, and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Thorson was born January 13, 1884, in Mandel, Norway, and came to the United States as a young man. He was married in 1906 at Norway, Michigan to Delia Schoenwetter, who preceded him in death in June of 1962. He had farmed and did stone masonry in Clark County for many years, before retiring in Taylor County in 1949.

He is survived by four sons, Alvin, Orange, Calif.; Norman, Owen, and Donald and Cail, both of Medford; six daughters, Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Beahm, Iowa; Mrs. Adolph (Leona) Mathias, and Mrs. Donald (Thelma) Euclide, both of Medford; Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Wiernacz, Hales Corners; Mrs. Ray (Alice Mae) Raetehr, Stanley, and Mrs. Herbert (Violet) Taylor, Albany, Oregon; 49 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a brother, Hans, and a sister, Mrs. Thora Forestle, both in Norway
