Siikarla, Olive E. (Wimer) (14 FEB 1924 - 1 FEB 2018)

Olive E. Siikarla, 93, of Stetsonville, died on Feb. 1, 2018 at Our House Assisted Living in Medford under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Olive was born on Feb. 14, 1924 in Stratford to Olive and John Wimer. She married Arthur Siikarla on Aug. 30, 1940.

Olive retired from Medford Hospital after more than 25 years as an emergency room technician where she made many friends in the community. Olive’s family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother and kind person. She had a love for music and her family. She will be deeply missed.

Olive is survived by her four children, Darla (Ralph) Pernsteiner of Spencer, Terry (Gert) Siikarla of Kewaskum, Neal (Cheryl) Siikarla of Fall Creek and Allen (Melissa) Siikarla of Athens; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Siikarla.

In accordance with Olive’s wishes, no service will be held but family will gather at a later date for a celebration of her life. Thank you to all the staff at Our House Assisted Living and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for the wonderful and compassionate care that Olive was given the last year of her life.
