Perrine, Carolyn Esther (27 April 1946 – 20 January 2018)

Carolyn Esther (Pachal) Perrine, 71, Sun Prairie, began her eternal journey whole in the care of her loving family Jan. 20, 2018. She was born April 27, 1946, the daughter of Frank Martin Pachal and Esther Julia Hulda (Karnopp) Pachal.

Throughout a life of significant hardships, Carolyn possessed a fierce unconditional love as best demonstrated through the loyalty and devotion she showed those she loved even when they weren’t always lovable. Once Carolyn loved you, nothing was going to change that.

With her husband, William, Carolyn traveled to many places, including Libya, Germany, Japan and Hawaii. She also lived in Sun Prairie for over four decades, but she always maintained a close connection and strong affinity for her hometown, Loyal. Frequently visiting her mother, siblings, cousins and in-laws, Carolyn spent large portions of her life in Clark County, well after leaving it.

Carolyn loved mysteries, classic comedies, classic county music and any bargain. From Sherlock Holmes to Jessica Fletcher, if there was a mystery, she was glued to the television. She also instilled a love in all three of her children for Lucy, Carol, Archie and Hawkeye as well as Conway, Johnny and patsy. More than anything, though, Carolyn loved a bargain. Throughout her life, from second-hand shops to grocery stores, she could be found bargain hunting.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Julie Reinhart (Mark), her three grandchildren: Miles Perrine, Grace Reinhart and Jakob Reinhart; her youngest son, Kevin Perrine (Brian Babbitts); siblings: Marlene English (William), Milton Pachal (Rita), Sandra Drescher (Harold), Randall Pachal (Kathy), Eugene Pachal (Patti), Karen Stargardt (Larry), Sharon Rasmussen (Jeff), and brother-in-law John Perrine (Jayne); and a large number of nephews, nieces, and their children.

Preceded in death early in life by her father, Frank Pachal, and her husband, William A. Perrine Sr. and later in life by her long-time partner Carl Miller, Jr., granddaughter Gloria Reinhart, mother Esther Pachal, in-laws William H. Perrine, Edna Perrine, Patricia Mohr and Marvin Mohr, and most recently by her eldest son, William A. Perrine, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 N. West Street, in Loyal Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Zimmerman officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
