Smith, Joseph G. (18 JUL 1953 - 26 FEB 2018)

Joseph G. Smith, 64 of Bruce died on Monday, February 26, 2018 at his home.

He is survived by his wife Deloris, 2 brothers; Garold Anthony Smith of Ladysmith and Clarence Elmer (Annett) Smith of Radcliff, KY, 4 sisters; LaCinda (Ron) Garbe of Rush City, MN, Ethel Gorman of Ladysmith, Leona (John) Scherer of Bruce and Lillian (Mike) Frohn of Balsam Lake, WI.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the First Church of Christ in Ladysmith with David Willingham officiating. Joseph's family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Joseph George Smith, of Bruce, died at the young age of 64 on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at his home following a 3-year illness with cancer.

Joseph was born on July 18, 1953 in Milwaukee to Anthony and Marjorie (Komru) Smith. He married Deloris Collins on June 8, 1974 in Ladysmith.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Deloris; his brothers, Garold Anthony Smith of Ladysmith and Clarence Elmer (Annett) Smith of Radcliff, Kent.; his sisters, LaCinda (Ron) Garbe of Rush City, Minn., Ethel Gorman of Ladysmith, Leona (John) Scherer of Bruce and Lillian (Mike) Frohn of Balsam Lake.

He was preceded in death by Rose Ann Smith, Benjamin Smith and his parents.

Joseph was a loving uncle and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He and Deloris raised the nieces and nephews and they considered him as their father. He also loved fishing and hunting.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9 at First Church of Christ in Ladysmith with David Willingham officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
