The wedding of Miss Elizabeth Stephenson Vogel to Mr. Clifford Melford Toraason took place Saturday, October 3, 1970, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Cincinnati. The Reverend Mr. Alvin Hanson officiated at the candlelight service.

The reception followed immediately at the University Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William vogel of Cincinnati. The bridegroom is the son of the late Dr. and Mr.s Clifford Melford Toraason of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin. Venice lace trimmed the lifted waist, bell sleeves, Victorian neckline, and outlined the hem. Her chapel length train and full mantilla of silk illusion were edged with matching Venice lace.

She carried a bouquet of long stemmed white roses, sweetheart roses, stephanotis, and gardenias.

Mrs. Arthur N. Palmer of Oneonta, New York, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Attendants were Miss Kathy Netzley of Laura, Ohio, Mrs. Rick Adams of Columbus, Ohio, Miss Jennifer Shinkle and Mrs. Leonard Landau of Cincinnati.

They wore floor length dresses of sapphire blue, of design similar to that of the bride’s gown. They carried bouquets of long stemmed red roses. Matching sweetheart roses formed flowerets in their hair.

Mr. Kenneth Melin of Madison, Wis., was best man. Ushers were Mr. Robin R. Vogel, brother of the bride, of Durham, N.C., Mr. Charles Vincent of West Chester, Ohio, Mr. Leonard Landau and Mr. Richard Carlson of Cincinnati.

The bride was graduated with high honors from the University of Cincinnati where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Phi Alpha Theta. Mr. Toraason was graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

After a wedding trip to several islands in the Caribbean. Mr. and Mrs. Toraason will reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
