Veitenhans, Herbert Joseph (25 JUN 1924 - 5 FEB 2018)

Herbert Joseph Veitenhans has taken his seat at the Heavenly Banquet. He was born of Carl Veitenhans and Amelia Ewan Veitenhans in Athens, Wisconsin on June 25, 1924, attended St. Anthony Catholic School in Athens, graduated from Athens High School, served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, resided in Medford, Oregon and died on February 5, 2018.

Preceding him in death are his beloved wife, Helen Agnes (Loesch) Veitenhans and his first-born son Herbert Robert Veitenhans.

Surviving him are son Matt Veitenhans, daughters Aimee Sloat and Renee Lynch, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grand children and his “Angel” Shirley Tello, dear friend and caregiver, and her husband Sergio Mendoza.

He attended daily Mass for many years and said a daily Rosary. He lived the virtue of Poverty and was an inspiration in Christian living. We are very proud of him and grateful to God.

Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Sacramento, California.
