Turenne, Sandra L. (6 FEB 1952 – 19 MAR 2018)

Sandra L. Turenne, age 66, of Thorp, passed away at her home on Monday, March 19, 2018. A Celebration of Life was held at Cindy's on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Sandra Lee Williams was born on February 6, 1952, in Chicopee, MA, the daughter of Robert L. and Shirley J. (Wenzel) Williams. She was raised in Westfield, MA until moving to Conover, WI in 1959. Sandy graduated from McFarland High School in McFarland, WI. She then completed a course and received her certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Sandra lived and worked in Madison, Indiana, and Florida until moving to Thorp in 1995. She worked at Ace Oil, Rustic Resale, and waitressed at area restaurants.

She was united in marriage to Gary L. Turenne on August 26, 2006, in Thorp, WI. They resided in Thorp until her death.

She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, corresponding with her pen pals, reading, remembering friends on birthdays with a card, and helping nieces and nephews with schoolwork.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Gary, of Thorp; three brothers: Robert Williams of Adams, WI, Kirk Williams of Sorrento, FL, and Jon (Fran) Williams of Thorp; three step-children: Jamey Turenne of Janesville, Gary Turenne Jr. of Wisconsin, April Turenne of Thorp; six step , grandchildren; one step great-granddaughter; nieces, | nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one step | daughter, Leah Marie Turenne.
