Talbot, Thomas Patrick (26 AUG 1928 - 18 JAN 2006)

Thomas Patrick Talbot, 77, died on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 29, at 3:30 p.m. at Westgor Funeral Home in Menasha, with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral home in Menasha from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Thomas Talbot was born August 26, 1928 in Seymour to the late Roy and Margaret (Konz) Talbot. He was a United States Army and National Guard veteran, who served in Japan and trained personnel at Fort McCoy. He was proud of his career in law enforcement for the City of Menasha and as a Taylor County Deputy Sheriff in Medford, until retiring in 1985.

He enjoyed the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman. His hobbies included golf, drawing, working with wood, carving model airplanes, birds and fishing lures. He was an avid history buff and loved sharing his vast knowledge on the subjects with anyone who had the time to listen. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and fond memories of happy times will be shared forever. He and his smile will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his children, Dan (Jeanne) Talbot, Dorothy (George) Dworshok, Nora (Doug) Kees, Roy (Diane) Talbot, Barby (Jody Wydeven) Talbot and Bill (Kathy) Talbot, all of Menasha, and their mother, Patricia (Don) Verbrick Kuehl; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Murphy of Appleton; two brothers, Leroy Talbot of Milwaukee and Steve (Betty) Talbot of Appleton; and also survived by Sheri, Lucy and Ilsa and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary, Anne, Maggie and Nora; a brother, Allan; a sister-in-law, Ann; and three brothers-in-law, Pat, Ted and Jim. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
