Blankenship, Agnes May (17 September 1920 – 2 March 1975)

Mrs. Neil (Agnes May) Blankenship, 54, of Ramsey, Il., died Sunday, March 2, at Pana Community Hospital. A daughter of Frank H. and Clara (Markwardt) Wilson, she was born September 17, 1920, in Neillsville and married to Neil F. Blankenship on February 9, 1942, at Staten Island, N.Y.

Mrs. Blankenship was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ramsey and of its Altar and Rosary Society. For several years, she had been employed at Princess Peggy in Vandalia.

Survivors include her husband, Neil; two daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Catherine) Cunningham of Ramsey and Mrs. Harry (Mary Jane) Davidson of Meredosia, Il.; two sons: Neil, Jr., of Virginia Beach, VA., and Fred of Beardstown, Il.; her mother, Mrs. Clara Tobin of Greenwood, and six grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Cecelia Langreck of Greenwood, Mrs. Hilda Richmond of Royalton, Mn., and Mrs. Catherine Wieting of Menomonee Falls; and three brothers: Frank J. Wilson of Neillsville, Charles H. Wilson of Decatur, Il., and John W. Wilson of Leadville, Co.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, March 5, from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Daly officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery. The Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey.
