Fisk, Della Monica (Shackleton) (26 JUN 1939 - 7 AUG 2018)

Della Monica (Shackleton) Fisk, 79, Menomonie, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at her home in Menomonie.

Della was born June 26, 1939, the daughter of Cecil and Jeanette (Gangstad) Shackleton, in Cornell. She grew up in Cornell, and graduated from Cornell High School in 1956. She married Dale Fisk in January 1967. Following his passing, she has lived in Menomonie since 1990.

Della was known for her compassionate heart, her helpful hands and her generosity. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, playing the piano, playing games, visiting with people and growing flowers, along with singing hymns and worshipping God at church. Her talents were used to bless many people.

She is survived by sons – Lon (Dennise) Fisk, Eagle River, and Earl (Laura) Fisk, Holcombe; along with numerous grandchildren; and her five beloved sisters – Laura (Jess) Ruby, Evelyn Crestwell, Pearl (Phil) Velie, Sarah (Vern) Larson and Jeanette Shackleton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; husband – Dale Fisk; daughter – Carol Wood; and many others.

Services were held at the Holiness Heritage Nazarene Church in Menomonie, Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, with a Monday, Aug. 13 funeral, at Faith Baptist Church in Cornell.

Interment was in the Holcombe Cemetery.
