Neubauer, Christian “Ted” Theodore (22 NOV 1940 - 26 AUG 2018)

Christian “Ted” Theodore Neubauer, 93, of Medford, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Aspirus Medford Hospital, emergency room, where he had been taken earlier.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 31 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father Phil Juza, officiating. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford.

Honorary pallbearers are great grandchildren – Kendra Miller, Grant & Desirae Neubauer, Dalton & Nitara Faude; active pallbearers are Dale, Jason & Gage Neubauer, Heather Faude, Jacob Faber, Jim Metz.

Visitation will be at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 4 PM until 7 PM on Thursday, August 30 where there will be a 7 PM Catholic Rosary service held that evening; also, from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at the church on Friday, August 31, 2018.

Ted was born on June 13, 1925, in Medford, to John and Mary (Dermleitner) Neubauer. He attended Medford area schools. In May of 1954, in Medford, he was married to Violet Spillner and they were later divorced.

After his education, he worked for the Taylor County Highway Department for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, mowing lawn and driving his truck. Ted was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.

He is survived by his children, Theodore Neubauer of Rib Lake; Harriet Pautz of Medford; Robert (Kathy) Neubauer of Medford; Theresa (Charlie) Zassenhaus of Dorchester; Paul (Cathy) Neubauer of Salt Lake City, Utah; Alan Neubauer of Medford; Joan (Pete) Faber of Marathon; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Ted is predeceased by his parents, daughter – Joanne Neubauer in 1962, and 9 sisters & 8 brothers.
