Dr. Mathew Mergenthaler was born and raised near La Crosse.
He completed his Bachelor of Science in biology at UW-Eau Claire where she
studied how light can affect sleep and wake cycles. He also earned his Doctorate
of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
Dr. Mergenthaler’s clinical passions include dry eye, glaucoma, visual
complications after a concussion, and how conditions from other parts of the
body can affect the eye.
He is currently seeing patients in both the Medford and Colby offices of
HealthView eye Care Centers.
