Denzine, James W. Sr. "Jim" (20 OCT 1946 – 26 SEP 2018)

James "Jim" W. Denzine Sr., 71, Prentice, died Wednesday, September 26,2018, at his home.

He was born October 20, 1946, in Prentice, the son of the late Gale and Pearl (Giles) Denzine. He married Joan Swanson on October 15,1966, in Phillips. She survives.

Jim had a passion for the outdoors his entire life. He hunted, M fished and trapped. One of his favorite things to do was to 'go to Ontario, Canada and jig fish for walleyes. He was ' passionate about hunting whitetails in the fall and spent as much time as he could on an ice fishing pail in the winter. He passed these traditions and passions along to his kids and grandchildren. Jim was friendly to strangers and could easily start a conversation with anyone. He was an avid st6ry teller, honest business man and lover of his Lord and Savior.

Survivors, besides his wife, Joan, include four children: James Jr. (Shannon) Denzine, Thorp, Galen Denzine, Thorp, Richard (Jennifer) Denzine, Stanley and Sarah (James) McCarter, Ladysmith; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Kenneth (Sally) Denzine, Phillips, David (Susan) Denzine, Alaska, and Timothy (Carlit) Denzine, Phillips; two sisters: Constance (Jerry) Heim and Shirley (Michael) Bungert, both of Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim's name, can be directed to the family.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on October 20, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Prentice Pines Golf Course, 403 Center St., Prentice, WI 54556. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can made at www.besjtefh.com.
