Wilichowski, Mildred "Muddie" (Krebsbach) (27 JUN 1929 - 24 JUN 2003)

Mildred "Muddie" Wilichowski, 73, 4779 Martin Lane, Marathon, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

She was born June 27, 1929 in Edgar, daughter of the late John and Kate (Stephani) Krebsbach. On June 24, 1953, she married Robert Wilichowski at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He survives.

Mildred was a homemaker and along with her husband farmed in the town of Cassel for many years. She was affectionately known by her family as "Muddie" and enjoyed playing cards and board games, listening and dancing to polka music but most special to her was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Robert, she is survived by four daughters, Sharon (Mark) Berndt, Marathon and their children, Bryan, Lisa, Katie & Kurt, Susan Wilichowski, Edgar and her children, Jason (Crystal) Stencil & Jennifer Stencil, Barbara Wilichowski, Marathon and Janice (Martin) Kallenbach, Medford and their children, Travis & Tanya; three sons, Gary (Kae) Wilichowski, Marathon and their children, Derek & Taylor, James (Barb) Wilichowski, Marathon and their children, Ashley & Logan and Patrick Wilichowski, Marathon; one sister, Jeanette Guralski, Athens; two brothers, Urban (Ann) Krebsbach, Edgar and Ray (Melanie) Krebsbach, Colby; one sister-in-law, Marie Krebsbach, Edgar.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie; three sisters, Loretta, Isabelle and Elizabeth; two brothers, Alfred & Edmund.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services at the church.
