Lawrence Joseph Rueth was born on June 22, 1940, in Marshfield, to Franklin R. and Agnes R. (nee Brzezinski) Rueth. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Loyal. After high school, he married the love of his life, Joyce “Mumma” Pieper. During this time, Larry worked on his farm and began working at North Star Dairy hauling milk, which he did for 20 years. He also held various other jobs, including working at Wangen Farms, hauling gravel for Junior Weyer, and working at Casey’s Implement. After leaving North Star Dairy, Larry went to work for Stewart’s Redville Dairy in Greenwood, and then to work at Smith Feeds in Loyal. He drove bulk truck for Smith Feeds/ Vita Plus for many years before retiring. Before and after retiring, Larry had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends, attending his grandchildren’s ball games, going to Country Fest with Joyce, polka music, his classic Mustang, snowmobiling, riding his moped, camping, playing cards, collecting Allis Chalmers toy tractors, riding lawn mowers, watching the Brewers, Packers, Badgers and Bucks, going for drives, playing softball, working on the pit crew for his brothers Terry and Paul, tinkering in the garage, and being early to church. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Loyal Snow Angels Snowmobile Club.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Mark (Nicole) Rueth of Marshfield, Mike (Lisa) Rueth of Loyal, and Missy (Tim) Froeba of Loyal; 10 grandchildren: Kyle (Katie), Zach (Adrianna), Stetson (Melissa), Mason, Kahri, Karissa, Karsyn, Noah, Lydia, and Joshua; one great-grandchild: Luna; his special friend, Alda Noah of Loyal; two brothers: Ronald “Butch” (Sharon) Rueth of Loyal, and Terrence “Terry” (Deb) Rueth of Loyal; two sisters: Kathy Rueth of Spencer and Victoria “Vicki” (Jack) Kadolph of Loyal; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
