Fourteen members of the 1949 class of the Abbotsford High School, which number 27, and their spouses gathered for a reunion Saturday, August 23, 1969, at 5:30 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kramer gave them a tour of the new high school, after which a social hour was held at the Colby Hotel, and dinner was served at 7:30.

Ralph Keller served as master of ceremonies and Orville Lieders said a prayer before the meal. After the meal, a minute of silence was observed for the three deceased members of the class, Fred Blanke, Galen Laack, and John Loucks. Each classmate gave a brief account of the intervening years since graduation.

Fun prizes were given to Mrs. Herschel (Elanor Kohl) Ehmke, the girl who changed the most, and Dale Jake, the man with the largest waistline. Lyle Cathcart captured three prizes for being the man with the least hair, having been married most recently, and for having the youngest child.

The centerpiece was given by Mrs. Clarence Kramer.

There were table favors for each member and a book with a resume and the present address of each one.

The committee succeeded in contacting every member, each of whom responded by attending or sending a letter. Letters from absent members and faculty were read.

The class will make an effort to have a 25 year reunion, for which Mr. and Mrs. Orville Lieders Jr. will be in charge.
