Bonas, Fredric W. (5 JUN 1888 – 12 SEP 1974)

Fredric Bonas, 86, who resided at the Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) Hotel, died at 12:14 a.m. September 12, 1974 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 16 at the Rinka Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Humlie, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, officiating. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alvin Fravert, J.R. Thomas, Matt Merlak, Milan Matanic, Frank Degenhardt, and Jesse Raab. Mrs. Verland Dux, accompanied by Mrs. Julie Feldt as organist, sang "Abide with Me."

Rink Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.

Fredric Bonas was born on June 5, 1888 in Posen, Germany, and received his education in Germany. He was married July 10, 1911 in Chicago, Illinois, to the former Hulda Janke, who preceded him in death on February 13, 1966.

They lived in Chicago from 1918 to 1919, moved to Medford and farmed from 1919 to `924, and then moved to Loyal and farmed until 1966, when he retired and moved to the city of Loyal.

He was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Greg (Elaine) Burbey, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lynton (Mildred) Jahr, California.

He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
