Krueger, Marion (2 JUN 1927 – 14 DEC 2018)

Colby - Marion Krueger, age 91, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Waterford in Colby. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. Interment to follow at Colby Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and also on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Marion was born on June 2, 1927, the daughter of Louis and Ida (Lube) Gosse in the Town of Colby. She attended Cloverdale School and graduated from Colby High School in 1945. Marion was united in marriage to Alvin Krueger on September 6, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2007. Together they operated a farm in the Town of Colby and moved into Colby in 1976.

Marion taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and attended Bible classes. She liked to do various crafts and sewing and made quilts and lap robes for charity.

Marion is survived by her son, Charles (Scheree) Krueger of Sun Prairie; three grandchildren: Nikalas (Amanda) Krueger, Daccia (Ian) Gerry and Laura Thompson and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Harriet Laabs of Colby; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; her brothers, Melvin and Herman Gosse and her sisters: Anita Schuh, Viola Ewert, and Dorothy Rodriguez and her great-grandson, Alvin Gerry.
