Fritsche, Gilbert A. (8 Jan 1919 - 28 May 2003)

Gilbert A. Fritsche, 84, Dorchester, died Wednesday, May 28 at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford. Funeral services were Friday, May 30 at St Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, with Rev. James Schaefer officiating. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shawn, Troy,  Cory and Daniel C. Hoffman, Randy Younker, and James Nuernberger.

Gilbert Fritsche was born Jan 8, 1919, in the town of Little Black to the late Henry and Irene (Rhyner) Fritsche.

He married Loretta Younker, who preceded him in death on December 16, 1988. He was a cheesemaker, masonry brick layer, and he farmed near Dorchester.

Survivors include a son, Donald (Jean) of Burlington; three sister, Arlene Decker of Chippewa Falls, Lenore Fischer of Wausau, and Betty Hoffman of Stetsonville; a brother, Arthur (Elaine) of Dorchester;  two grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott.
