Germaine Radeztsky-Pecher (12 May 1908 - 6 Apr 2002)

Germaine Radeztsky-Pecher, 93, of Abbotsford, died April 6, 2002, at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

A Memorial Mass will be held at noon April 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.  The Rev. John Malik will officiate.  Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery, Abbotsford.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service April 13 at the church.

Germaine was born on May 12, 1908, in Manitowoc, to Ignatz and Anna (Hutterer) Kunz.  She married Emil Radeztsky on Aug. 14, 1928.  Emil died on March 8, 1958.  Germaine then married Frank Pecher on Sept. 9, 1961.  Frank died on May 21, 1971.

Germaine farmed with her first husband and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and community service.  She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, and a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.

Germaine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one brother, and four sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Arlette (John) Hennessey of Falls Church, Va., and Joyce (Fred) Krueger of Colby; three sons, Delmer (Clare) Radeztsky of Bloomington, Minn., Ronald (Anna) Radeztsky of Phoenix, Ariz., and Emil (Sandy) Radeztsky Jr. of Kewaskum; one step-daughter, Geraldine Kulas of Abbotsford; one step-son, Carlton (Loretta) Pecher of  Abbotsford; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
