Margaret M. Ramminger (12 Aug 1908 - 20 Jul 1997)

Margaret M. Ramminger, 88, Abbotsford, died at her residence on Sunday, July 20, 1997. 

Funeral services were on Wednesday, July 23, 1997, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford, with Rev. John Malik presiding.  Burial was in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

The former Margaret Hamm was born on August 12, 1908, in the town of Holway, the daughter of George and Rose (Hajak) Hamm.  Margaret and Arthur Ramminger were united in marriage on June 14, 1933, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville.  Arthur died on September 16, 1992.

They farmed in the town of Mayville until 1962 and moved to reside in Abbotsford in March of 1963.  Margaret was employed with Pauline and Jim Schiferl for many years as housekeeper, child care and answering the business phone.  She was a member of the Abbotsford Homemakers Club and St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Margaret is survived by her son, Milton (Nancy) Ramminger of Colby; daughter, Pauline (Marvin) Riemer of Stetsonville; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; brother, George Hamm and infant sister, Albie Hamm.

Pallbearers were Jim Ramminger, Gust Ruppel, Allan Riemer, Paul Riemer, Mark Riemer and Wayne Schiferl.
