Looker, Diane Lynn (10 NOV 1973)

A dinner in United Church of Christ in Owen and a reception and dance at Meadowview Country Club were held in honor of the wedding of Miss Diane Lynn Looker and Paul Robert Abley.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Werner Abley, route 2, Chippewa Falls, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Looker, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were pronounced man and wife by the Rev. Kurt Sampson during the 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday, November 10, 1973. Mrs. Donald Luedke, vocalist, was accompanied by Miss Becky Henke on the organ.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a fall knit dress in beige, and had a small veil secured to a headband of flowers. She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.

Miss Janet Looker, Withee, was her honor attendant, and wore a medium blue knit dress. Blue accessories and a corsage of blue and white flowers completed her attire.

Mark Abley, Chippewa Falls, served as best man, and Dennis Looker and Jim Abley seated the guests.

The bride, a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, attended Eau Claire Technical Institute for two years to study fashion marketing. She has been employed at Waterman's Chippewa Falls and at Whispering Pines Resort, Trego.

Her husband graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and Eau Claire Technical Institute with a certificate in automotive mechanics. He is a draftsman for Fox Valley Engineering in Rice Lake.

The couple will reside on route 1, Box 11, Barron.
