Jessica Mae Porath (13 Oct 1989 - 1 Jul 1999)

Jessica Mae Porath, 10, of Owen (Town of Hoard), died on Saturday, July 1, due to injuries sustained in an accident.

Funeral services for Jessica were held July 5 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee with Rev. Alice Hamm presiding. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Pallbearers were Jessica’s cousins and uncles: Matt Porath, Chad Porath, Eric Vollrath, Dennis Witt, Brian Greene and Steve Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Craig Hoffman and Jason Krueger.

Jessica Mae Porath was born on Oct. 13, 1989, in Marshfield, the daughter of Randy and Sherry (Vollrath) Porath. She attended Owen-Withee Elementary and would have entered the fifth grade this fall. Jessica enjoyed many sports including Owen-Withee Elementary basketball, Atwood softball, bowling for Kelly’s Unique Hair of Owen, horseback riding, four-wheeling and swimming. She also enjoyed playing games and cards, and she had a great love for animals, especially her cats and kittens.

Survivors are her parents, Randy Porath, Owen and Sherry (Jamie) Feind, Owen; her sisters, Jamie and Jenny Porath, Owen; her aunt and uncles, Rod (Debi) Porath, Loyal, Steve (Nancy) Brown, Owen, Denise (Brian) Greene of Unity, Denny Witt, Owen, Mike (Leslie) Vollrath, Malvern, Ark., Mark (Sarah) Stasek, Owen, Juliann (Dan) Sebold, Waukau, and Randy Feind, Oshkosh. She is further survived by her paternal grandparents, Ed and Anna Mae Porath, Owen and Lorraine Porath, Loyal; maternal grandparents, DeWayne Vollrath, Greenwood and Ron and Lois Stasek, Malvern; step-grandparents, Carol and Denny Feind, Abbotsford, great-grandparents, Anna and Phillip Vollarth, Greenwood.

She was preceded in death by her aunt, Debra Brown; uncle, Orin Osborne; her paternal great-grandparents, Dorothy and Walter Buker, and her grandpa “Pa” George Kewtola.
