Potocnik, Joseph R. (18 DEC 1903 – 4 DEC 1973)

Funeral services for Joseph R. Potocnik, 69, of route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 7, 1973, at Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

Mr. Potocnik died Tuesday, December 4, 1973 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

Officiating at the final rites was the Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, and burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank and Robert Friedenfels, Larry and Gary Fritz, and Jerry and Dennis Potocnik.

Mr. Potocnik, a farmer in the town of Hoard, Clark County, was born December 18, 1903, in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He was married to the former Maxine Pawson, who survives him.

Other survivors include two sons, James Potocnik of route 2, Owen and Jeffrey Potocnik, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Doras Dettman, Rio, Mrs. Glen (Virgina) Landwehr, Stratford, and Mrs. William (Mary) McAdam, Farmington, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Friedenfels and Mrs. Elton (Alice) Fritz, both of route 2, Owen; five brothers, Frank, Tony, Carl, William, and Edward Potocnik, all of route 2, Owen; and 19 grandchildren.
