Madlon, Edna M. (Couillard) (29 MAR 1937 - 1 FEB 2019)

Edna M. Madlon, 81, of Jump River, died of natural causes on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 at her home.

Edna was born on March 29, 1937 to the late George and LuCinda (Shufelt) Couillard. She grew up in the area and attended Hannibal High. Edna married Leo Madlon and the couple farmed. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being outdoors.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (John) Prasnicky, Gordon (Veronica) Madlon and Joel Madlon all of Jump River, Greg (Lynn Kendall) Madlon of Glen Flora and Randy (Loralee) Madlon of Lublin, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Jan (Gerry) Couillard of Gilman, Jerry Couillard of Stanley, Kaye Joyner of Black River Falls, Joanne (Jene) Everson of Rib Lake, Janice (Curt) Harris of Virginia, Minn., Linda (Hugo) Scholtze of Babbitt, Minn., Minga (Mike) Cole of Tower, Minn. and Bonnie (Dan) Omundson of Thorp.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo (2002), daughters, Sharon and Jeanette, one great-step-grandson, Kenneth Howland, her sisters, Arlene Muth and Mary Tomkowiak and her brothers, Albert, Lloyd, Perry and Addelor Couillard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Jump River Community Center. Interment will take place at a later date in Mount Nebo Cemetery. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family.
