Fisher, Grant G. (24 May 1920-1 September 1994)

SPENCER--Grant G. Fisher, 74, Spencer, died September 1, 1994, in the
Emergency Room of St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Spencer
with the Rev. John Eldred officiating. The body will be cremated, and
burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery. Visitation will be at Community
Funeral Home in Spencer Saturday.

He was born May 24, 1920, in Spencer, to the late Henry and Elda
(Patznick) Fisher. He received his education in rural Spencer and at
Spencer High School.

He married Arlene Hebert on August 1, 1957, and she died July 3,
1986. He married Janet Rand on May 18, 1990.

After serving in the Army during World War II, he returned to Spencer
and operated the Little Club Tavern until 1954. He then moved to Monroe,
where he farmed until 1961. At that time he moved back to the Spencer
area and farmed in the town of Brighton until retirement. He then moved
to Spencer.

He was a member of the Loyal Veterans of Foreign Wars, Colby American
Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Marshfield Eagles Club.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; one daughter, Georgia Tobin of
Hudson; two sons, Dennis Fisher of Monroe and Douglas Fisher of Tripoli;
two step-children, Jay (Julie) Rand of Cameron Park, California, and
Joleen (Randy) Schade of Colby; a foster brother, James Mueller of
Tomahawk; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was also
predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and Dick Fisher.
