Hofmann, Martha (26 JAN 1910 – 13 MAY 1970)

Funeral services were Saturday, May 16, 1970 for Mrs. Ed (Martha) Hofmann, 60, of route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). She died Wednesday morning, May 13, 1970 at her home, following a lingering illness.

The Rev. Joseph Jeide officiated at the services at Peace United Church of Christ. Interment was made in the Dorchester Peace Cemetery (Memorial North)..

Mrs. Jerome Rankl was organist for the services. Singing "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Was Mrs. Sharon Albrecht.

Maurina Funeral Home of Dorchester was in charge of arrangements.

Martha Braun was born January 26, 1910 in the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.). She married Edward Hofmann at Medford on November 2, 1927. The couple operated the Hull Co-op Cheese Factory at Colby they moved to a farm in the town of Hoard.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Hofmann is survived by two daughters, and one son. They are Mrs. Harvey (Inez) Behringer of route 1, Edgar, Mrs. Joseph (Mardell) Coker of West Allis, and Ronald Hofmann of route 2, Owen.

There are four grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Henkelman of Merrill, Mrs. Rosa Peissig of Shawano, Mrs. Karl (Mary) Burke of Wittenberg, and two brothers, Carol Braun of Dorchester and Henry Braun of Geneva, Illinois.

One sister and two brothers are deceased.
