Johnson, Hans (21 May 1905-30 May 1985)

Hans Johnson, 80, of 627 Park Avenue, Stanley, died this morning (Thursday, May 30) at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.

He was born May 21, 1905 in the Town of Warden (Worden), Clark County, the son of Dorothea (Jacobson) and John Johnson. He grew up in
the Stanley area and attended area schools.

Hans was united in marriage to Viola Sass March 14, 1934. After their marriage lived and farmed in Warden until 1966 when they moved to the City of Stanley where they have since resided.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Alvin Johnson of Wrightown; one daughter, Beatrice (Mrs. Milton) Grindle of Boyd; one brother, Ole Johnson of Stanley; one sister, Elsie Bye of Stanley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sisters.

A funeral service will be held Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanley, with the Rev. Marshall Hall officiating. Burial will be at the East Side Cemetery in Stanley.
