Nedry, Jay Rusk (3 Jun 1895-3 November 1959)

INDEPENDENCE--Jay Rusk Nedry, 64, resident of 285 N. Broad St,
Monmouth, died in a Dallas hospital Tuesday morning. He was born at
Dorchester (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, June 3, 1895, and had been a resident of Oregon
for over 40 years. He taught school until 12 years ago, when he moved to
Independence and has been operating the Fern Cafe.

Survivors include his wife, Fern (Parker), Monmouth; sons, Jay R
Nedry, Jr., Albany, and Ray E. Nedry, Monmouth; daughters, Mrs. Francis
Burns, Monmouth and Mrs. Paul Cooper, Salem.

Funeral services will be Friday from Smith-Krueger Mortuary in
Independence, with interment at Fir Crest cemetery in Monmouth. Rev.
Daniel S. Brose and Rev. Marshall Courtlever will officiate.
