Shookman, Durana (1896? – 17 JUN 1970)

Mrs. Durana Shookman, 74, of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), died of an apparent heart attack, Wednesday, June 17, 1970, while visiting relatives at Fond du Lac.

Funeral services were Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with the Rev. Joseph N. Miller officiating. Burial was made in the Medford Catholic Cemetery.

A rosary service was held Monday evening at 8 o'clock at the Ruesch Funeral Home, Medford.

The former Durana M. Gilman was married September 8, 1920 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, to Wayne Shookman, who preceded her in death in March 1963.

After their marriage they lived in Medford, and in March 1940 came to live at Abbotsford. Mr. Shookman was a railroad telegrapher for the Soo Line.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne A. Shookman, Montgomery, Alabama, and William J. Shookman, Burlington, Wisconsin.

Also surviving are two brothers, Albert and Thomas Gilman, Beach, North Dakota, and a sister, Mrs. Etta Aschenbrenner, North Ridge, California.
