Klennert, Donald F. (13 NOV 1938 - 7 APR 2019)

Don Klennert, 80, of Ridgeland, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. A celebration of Don’s life will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron.

Don was born on Nov. 13, 1938 to Albert and Viola (Zell) Klennert in Lake City, Minn. and he grew up in Blackberry, Minn. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. On July 22, 1967 he married Lucy McClelland at Bethel Lutheran Church in Warba, Minn. They moved to Wisconsin and lived in the Stetsonville area and later the Hillsdale area, where they farmed for many years and then moved to Ridgeland. Don enjoyed woodworking, camping, old tractors and spending time with family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucy on Dec. 19, 2016; sisters, Mary, Dee and Jenny; brother, Richard; and brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Darlene Greniger.

Don is survived by his children, Donna (Edward) Michaelson of Grantsburg, Wally Klennert of Ridgeland and Karen Klennert of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Jessica (Kristopher) Harkins of Appleton and Ashe, Kasey and Daniel Michaelson, all of Grantsburg; “adopted daughter,” Trina Good of Ridgeland; brother-in-law, Kelly McClelland of Eveleth, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes of Dallas and Cameron assisted the family with arrangements.
