Bodamer, Paul A. (18 DEC 1960 – 24 MAR 2019)

Paul A. Bodamer, 58, Dunlap, Tenn., formerly of Thorp, passed away at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Sunday, March 24, 2019. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Thorp Funeral Home.

Paul Allen Bodamer was born on Dec. 18, 1960, in Stanley, to Robert and Joan (nee Brown) Bodamer. He was raised and received his education in Thorp. After completing high school, Paul enlisted in the U.S Army. When his enlistment was up, he settled in Thorp until his move to Tennessee in the summer of 2018. Paul lived his final days in a cabin in the hills of Tennessee. He and his significant other, Kathy Lewan, spent much time with their bluegrass gospel friends. He belonged to the Southern Chapter of the Sons of the Confederacy of Sequachie County Tennessee.

He will be sadly missed by his brother: Philip (Tami) Bodamer of Gearhart, Ore.; his two sisters: Jennifer (Robert) Evans of Zephyr Cove, Nev., and Jessica (Dewey) Gilchrist of Deforest; his significant other: Kathy Lewan and her children; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
