At a noon ceremony Saturday, September 26, 1970, Diane Ione Griepentrog, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Griepentrog of route 1, Unity, became the bride of Dale Elmer Chapman, Wausau, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Chapman of Milan.

Father Charles Schumacher witnessed the vows at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan.

Music was provided by Mrs. Lucille Neitzel at the organ and Mrs. Kenneth Schreiber sang "Rose of the Garden."

Matron of honor for her sister was Mrs. Kenneth Wilhelmi of Colby, and the groom's brother, Kenneth Chapman, Wausau, was the best man. The bride's brother-in-law, Kenneth Wilhelmi, and the groom's sister-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Chapman, were the other attendants.

Their four tiered veils were attached to headpieces of triple bows. The bridesmaids each carried one long stemmed yellow rose with streamers.

A reception, supper, and dance for 150 guests followed the ceremony at the Trianon Ballroom.

Formerly employed by Mullins Cheese Factory in Riplinger (Clark Co., Wis.), the bride was a student at Colby High School.. Her husband attended the Abbotsford High School and is employed by American Can of Wausau.
