Fraase, Sylvia Agnes (Czech) (26 OCT 1928 - 4 APR 2019)

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Agnes (Czech) Fraase, announces her passing on April 4, 2019, at the age of 90.

A mass will be celebrated in memory of Sylvia at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 600 Mountain View Drive, Stone Mountain, Ga. on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA in late October.

Syliva was born on Oct. 26, 1928 in Thorp, to the late John and Genevieve (Gaska) Czech, Sr. She grew up and attended school near Hannibal and married Donald Fraase, of Harvard, Ill., on June 16, 1951.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Cynthia (Richard) Farnham, Karen (Chris) Kirkman, Cynthia Fraase, Mark (Jeanne) Fraase, Cliff (Lisa) Fraase, Roxanne (Sean) Bupara, and Paul (April) Fraase; her siblings, John (Barb) Czech, Jr. of Chippewa Falls, Ted (Phyllis) Czech of Eau Claire and Kathleen Czech of Wausau; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her son, Stephen Fraase; five brothers, Alois, Leon, Anton, Robert and Adolph; and her sister, Ida.

In lieu of flowers or donations, please contact your local Catholic Church to request a Mass Intention in Sylvia’s memory.
