Runzheimer, Beverly Ann (28 NOV 1970)

The marriage of Miss Beverly Ann Runzheimer of West Bend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Runzheimer of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), and John Thomas Yagow, West Bend, son of Elbert Yagow and the late Mrs. Yagow of West Bend, took place in a candlelight ceremony Saturday, November 28, 1970, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.

The Rev. Vernon Gunderman of the University of Wisconsin Chapel of Madison officiated at the services. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Harold Parsch of Shawano, an uncle and godfather of the bride.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Music during the ceremony was provided by Ronald Boss, organist, two soloists, and the congregation.

Clarence Barkow sang "The Lord's Prayer," and Mrs. Norman Parsch sang "O Perfect Love" and "Take Thou our Hands and Lead Us."

The congregation sang "Lord Who at Cana's Wedding Feast" and "Blest Be the Tie That Binds."

The processional was "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," and the recessional was "Trumpet Tune" and "Trumpet Voluntary."

The acolyte was Mark Runzheimer, a brother of the bride.

The honor attendants were Miss Mary Nesemann of Madison, a college friend of the bride, and David Kavitz of Winona, Minnesota, a friend of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lofton Runzheimer, Deerfield, Illinois, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Sharon Runzheimer of Colby, the bride's sister.

Groomsmen were Lofton Runzheimer of Deerfield, the bride's brother, and Philip Yagow, Madison, the groom's brother.

Seating the guests at the church were Glenn Gruett of Milwaukee and Carlton Sielaff of Black River Falls, friends of the couple.

The bride wore a white A-line silhouette of peau, with a scoop neckline and long sleeves. The gown was delicately detailed with lace edged with pearls and accented with crystal. A chapel train edged with Venice lace completed the gown.

Her hand embroidered lace mantilla veil was sent as a gift from her brother, James, from Barcelona, Spain.

She carried a white orchid with ribbons mounted on a prayer book.

The attendants wore A-line silhouettes of gold Kobell. Venice lace trimmed the high necklines, the cuffs of the long sleeves, and the free flowing back panels. A bow of matching fabric secured the tiered veiling of each.

Each carried one large long stemmed bronze mum tied with bronze ribbons.

Following the ceremony were a reception and wedding supper at the Colby Hotel for about 100 guests.

The bride graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1969, followed by a year of graduate study at the University of Wisconsin for an advanced degree in French. She was affiliated there with Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

She presently teaches French in the Menomonee Falls public school system.

The groom graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in 1967. He was affiliated with Kappa Psi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. He is now the pharmacy manager at Snyder Drugs, Inc. in West Bend..

They will be making their home at Maplewynde Manor, 1715 Stonebridge Road, West Bend, Wisconsin.
