McNeight, Helena (16 APR 1884 – 11 DEC 1970)

Mrs. Helena McNeight, 85, of Wausau, a Unity area resident for many years, died Friday night, December 11, 1970, at Wausau.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby. The Rev. P.H. Ilten of the Zion Lutheran Church at Wausau, officiated. Burial was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Helen Ehlers was born in Milwaukee April 16, 1884. Her marriage to William McNeight took place in Spencer. They operated a farm east of Unity until his death in 1954, when she moved to Wausau.

For the past two years she had lived at the Bethel Convalescent Home at Arpin, and at a nursing home in Wausau.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roscoe (Winona) Starkey of Manhattan, Kansas, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

There is also a brother, Herman Ehlers.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband and son, were three brothers and two sisters.
