The faculty of the Owen-Withee High School are happy to announce Kristi Sillampa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sillampa of rural Owen (Clark Co., Wis., as the young lady they have selected to represent our school as the D.A.R. Good Citizen for the 1974-75 school year.

This contest is open to girls in the senior classes of public and private accredited high schools. A girl selected as the Good Citizen must have the qualifications of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism to an outstanding degree. She must be a citizen of the United States.

The girl selected by the faculty is required to complete a questionnaire on home, community, state, and national affairs. State winners are selected on the basis of this questionnaire and a personal interview. State winners are eligible to participate in the national contest, where the girls selected are awarded a $1000 scholarship to the college of their choice.

Kristi and her parents are to be congratulated on her selection.
