Cardinal, Doris M. (3 MAY 1927 – 13 FEB 1975)

Services for Mrs. Lawrence (Doris) Cardinal, 47, of the town of Grover (Taylor Co., Wis.), were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). Mrs. Cardinal died Thursday afternoon at Medford Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past seven weeks. She had been in ill health for the past 1 1/2 years.

The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold, pastor, officiated, and private committal services were held at Withee Riverside Cemetery.

The former Doris Mae Jasmer was born at Wadena, Minnesota, May 3, 1927, and came to Wisconsin in 193. She lived in the town of Maplehurst (Taylor Co.) until 1861, and after that in the town of Grover. She received her education in Minnesota and the town of Maplehurst.

Her marriage to Lawrence Cardinal took place at Withee on February 3, 1945.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Roger, Minocqua, and Clifford and Marvin, both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Ray (Sharon) Strobock and Mrs. Larry (Julia) Drager, both of rural Withee, and Beverly and Debra, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jasmer, Withee; three grandchildren; four brothers, Vernon, Withee, Dale, Thorp, Lorn, Medford, and Milo, Owen; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Wall, Lublin, Mrs. Aldon Anderson, Athens, Mrs. Joe Nicpon, Barron, and Mrs. Orville Sherwood, Medford.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, in 194, and a daughter, Shirley, in 1964.
